Is Gear a full rental management system or just a booking widget?
Full system. Inventory tracking, customer CRM, delivery routing, digital waivers, deposits + balance payments, weather alerts, maintenance and damage claims, staff scheduling, and reporting are all shipped. The booking widget is one front-door — the dashboard is the actual product.
How do you make money if it’s free for owners?
A 5% transaction fee is applied to online rentals processed through the platform. Bookings you take by phone or in person and record manually don’t carry the fee.
Can I switch from my current spreadsheet or another platform?
Yes. We have CSV import templates for serialised inventory, bulk items (tables/chairs/linens), customers, and party packages. Most owners are live the same day they import their inventory.
